03 Apr Magnus Health moves to larger office space in downtown Raleigh
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
RALEIGH, NC (April 3, 2013) – Magnus Health moved its offices further into downtown Raleigh, reopening for business April 1st. Today Raleigh Mayor, Nancy McFarlane, and David Diaz of The DowntownRaleigh Alliance joined Magnus employees in a ribbon cutting ceremony, officially commemorating the new office location.
“We’re thrilled Mayor McFarlane and David could join us today. Their presence has added to the employee excitement around the new office, and we’re all looking at this move as a valuable investment in the company’s future,” said Chas Scarantino, Magnus Health CEO.
Magnus is a leading provider of Student Medical Records (SMR) in the United States, and specializes in providing a total solution to K-12 schools, colleges, universities, and camps for the collection, management, and distribution of protected health information.
“When we moved to our last location two years ago, there were only six of us. Now we’re up to 40 full time employees, and we add 10 to 20 part time jobs every summer. This move was a must and we’re glad that we could keep our location in downtown,” said Allen Cobb, Magnus Health COO.
Located downtown for the past five years, Magnus Health partnered with Morehead Capital last year, and with Empire Properties this year. These partnerships have assisted in expanding the company and revitalizing a corner of downtown Raleigh.
“We take pride in our city, and we’re excited to move to a location that’s really been a part of rejuvenating the area,” Scarantino said. “Over the past three years we’ve quadrupled in size, and plan on additional hires in the next 18 months. Downtown has been the perfect atmosphere to recruit and retain the innovative and young talent that is perfect for a startup company,” he added.
