Not only does Magnus consist of valuable team members across all departments, but our Directors and Managers keep Magnus growing and improving week-in and week-out.
Our leadership team is made up of five dedicated, passionate, and professional Directors. With the start of 2018, we’ve decided to highlight them each so not only our wonderful customers, but everyone in our industry, can get to know them!
We will kick off the Magnus Leadership spotlight with our CEO, Brian Biddulph-Krentar. Brian currently resides in West Chester, Pennsylvania, and travels to the Raleigh Headquarters at least twice a month. Brian has been in the healthcare industry for quite some time. Actually, we’ll let him speak for himself!
First, tell us how long you’ve been working at Magnus:
Magnus actually acquired CareFlow, where I was the Founder and CEO, in August 2015.
What is your role at Magnus? Were you in a different role previously?
I have been the CEO of Magnus since early 2016 and have worked in healthcare technology for about 20 years.
What is your favorite aspect of your job?
I love generating new ideas for our business that will directly impact our customers and improve the way they can achieve better student health, both on and off campus. I firmly believe that our technology can help keep students healthy and safe, and that it is a vital tool for school staff.
What do you enjoy most about working at Magnus?
The team. We have a dedicated team, and we all believe in better care for students.
What three words describe you?
Driven, passionate, and selfless (my wife’s words not mine ).
Which day of the work week are you most productive?
Whatever day is the busiest. I am driven by having a full day. I hate being bored and I hate sitting still!
Before Magnus, what was the most unusual/interesting job you’ve ever had?
I loved being a consultant. Every day of every week was different. I used to travel to a different hospital each week, sometimes multiple in a week. I got to see a lot of the country and meet so many unique people. It was a great way to learn to be organized, how to work with different personalities, how to problem solve, and how to travel like a pro.
What’s one thing you couldn’t live without?
Other than my family, I’d have to say exercise. It is a great way to increase energy and to reduce stress.
Favorite activities on your days off?
Soccer and working out with my kids. They love the gym too.
What other hobbies do you have?
I play soccer 3 times a week. I also participate in as many charitable causes as I can, including my work with Cystic Fibrosis and the Good Samaritan Homeless Shelter.
What is the best vacation you’ve ever been on?
Getting married in Jamaica was one of the most fun and relaxing times I have ever had.
If you had to eat only one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Hiring our team. I’ve had the chance to work with and help to develop so many great people. I am very proud of that.
