Magnus Spotlight – Leadership Team Continued

IanWe’re back with the last round of our Magnus Spotlight blog posts featuring our Leadership Team here at Magnus Health! Previously we learned that our CEO Brian Biddulph-Krentar loves soccer and working out, but cannot live without pizza… we met our Director of Marketing, Inese Hoover, a travel hockey Mom who loves the Chicago Blackhawks… and we introduced our newest Director, Dino Skerlos, who joined our downtown Raleigh office last August to manage the Sales team… when he’s not golfing.

Now let’s meet the final member of the Magnus Leadership Team that holds down the fort on the software side of our company. Our Director of Technology, Ian Panulla, is the man behind the scenes that keeps the Magnus system up and running. Ian comes from the CareFlow team with the acquisition, where he was the designer and creator of the CareFlow software. He is the architect behind the software, and he drinks more coffee than the rest of the office combined.

Ian Panulla, Director of Technology

First, tell us how long you’ve been working at Magnus:
I’ve been working at Magnus since the acquisition of CareFlow in 2015. I was with the CareFlow product team for a significant time before that, I think it was 9 years total!

What is your role at Magnus? Were you in a different role previously?
My roles at Magnus have been Senior/Lead Developer, Director of

What is your favorite aspect of your job?
I love the fact that there are new challenges and problems to solve each and every day.

What do you enjoy most about working at Magnus?

Which day of the work week are you most productive?
I’m going to say Wednesday is the day that I can get the most done.

Before Magnus, what was the most unusual/interesting job you’ve ever had?
I was a delivery guy of Amish Furniture and worked with a very interesting character. He kind of looked like Santa Clause: round, jolly, and had a big white beard. Totally bald though, and he didn’t own a Santa hat!

What’s one thing you couldn’t live without?
I couldn’t live without having a little competition in my life.

Favorite activities on your days off?
I love going on hikes with my wife and dogs, going mountain biking, or participating in any competitive sport.

“You’re killin’ me Smalls!” – The Sandlot

If you could be anyone else for a day, who would you be and why?
A fighter pilot… I really want to fly a fighter jet!

What is the best vacation you’ve ever been on?
Best vacation was Cancun with my wife… we even met another couple that have now become our lifetime friends! We just visited them a few weeks ago.

If you had to eat only one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Steak and eggs.
