This feature allows you to view the student’s approved over the counter medications, as well as the prescription medications the student is, or will be, taking. OTC medications are listed, as well as the date the parent gave consent, and the next action date, meaning the parent will have to reauthorize permission to give the medication the following year, or according to the date you input. Prescription medications are listed along with directions on dose, frequency, start date, and reason for taking the medication. You also have the ability to view a copy of the document showing the physician’s prescription, and the document remains on file within the account. Additional prescription medications can be added or removed as needed.
Collect all vital student health information in one online form, and eliminate the burden of several sheets of paper for each student, each year. The VHR collects personal information, emergency contacts, health history, allergies, medications, insurance, and more. In an emergency, this information is accessible through login to Magnus911, or via the student’s Magnus911 wallet card. In non-emergency situations, VHR information can be faxed to providers as needed. As the information changes throughout the school year, or from year to year, it can be updated online so the school consistently has access to the most current information.

Ensure secure access to student information in an emergency. Each account includes access to Magnus911, a secure site to access vital information, and send email alerts and text notifications to emergency contacts. A wallet card for each account contains directions to access the information online, as well as printed vital information on the card. Schools can determine which information is printed, including all vital information, or none. Regardless of where the sporting event or field trip takes the child, the information follows and via Magnus911, is available to emergency personnel when it is needed most.
Folders allow your school healthcare providers to upload and store documents to student accounts. They also have the option to share the documents with parents. For example, a concussion impact report would be uploaded to a folder. It is a document that is not required for every student to attend, but instead is necessary for students who suffer a concussion. The documentation needs to be stored as part of the student’s health history, and can be shared with parents. Parents cannot upload documents to folders, so your school can be assured that documents in folders are important, and were not arbitrarily uploaded.

View aggregate data of student progress and compliance using VHR data reports, next action date reports, and full data reports. Use reports to determine and improve upon school compliance with local and federal regulations. Additionally, reports help schools identify which parents need additional reminders prior to the start of school, cutting down on time spent manually determining that information, and eliminating redundant email reminders or unnecessary follow up phone calls.
Use the admin dashboard to access and edit all aspects of the school account. From this dashboard, set up new users and determine different levels of access, view student and parent accounts, reconfigure settings, establish automated email alerts, set next action dates, view and edit trackers, groups, and requirements, generate reports, view treatment notes and the VHR, upload student and parent information, access folders, and determine additional print features.

Paper-based systems are vulnerable to all kinds of natural disasters, as are non web-based software systems. If the paper or the computer can be burned, flooded, blown away, or destroyed, then the information is vulnerable, meaning all collected information could be lost. On the other hand, as a web-based software, SMR has built in disaster recovery. No disaster can destroy the collected student information because it is online, stored on off-site servers, and backed up on multiple additional servers located around the country. With SMR, should a disaster strike the school, the information is available to resume operations quickly, without having to recollect information, or worry that the available information is incomplete.
Magnus Health is committed to maintaining the confidentiality, integrity and security of personal information about our current and prospective users. We adhere to the highest standards in security in order to keep your data private and secure. We protect your information like it is our own. Security is part of our culture and we understand that it is a critical concern for you. We work to bring you peace of mind and take every precaution to protect your information so that it will be safe and secure at all times.
SMR is web-based, meaning the only requirements for using it are an Internet connection, and a device that can access the Internet. You will never have to download software or install hardware in order to use and access our products. This means that your school is constantly working with the most current version of our software, without having to pay for upgrades, and implementation is quick, easy, and without delay due to obtaining or installing hardware or software.

A school with 500 students frequently has over 2,000 paper forms submitted to the school at the beginning of each school year. Then those forms have to be reviewed for completion and accuracy, meaning hours are spent on paperwork alone. Hours that nurses and administrators could spend focused on core duties and providing care to students. We can relieve you of this added burden by doing the record review for you, increasing efficiency, and saving you time and money. Licensed RNs review the submitted documents according to your school’s requirements, ensuring documents are reviewed for completion and accuracy, and in compliance with school, state, and local regulations.
A robust application programming interface (API) facilitates interaction between your school’s information system and Magnus Health. Schools that are already using a student information system can take advantage of having a single sign-on (SSO) integration with SMR. This integration saves time for school administrators because the student software system and SMR are able to communicate, reporting back to the school when certain pieces of information are missing, and allowing student information systems to pull raw and aggregate data back from the Magnus Health system.

The inaugural Magnus Health ASHE Award recognizes the dedication of health professionals to their profession and students. Nominations for any school health professional are submitted by school staff, students, or parents, and reviewed by a panel. In the past, ASHE Award recipients have received a grant to be used in the school health center, runners-up received fabulous technical devices, and finalists received gift cards. There is quite literally no downside to nominating your school health professional, and there is nothing better than recognizing the hard work and dedication of well-deserving individuals.
